Store Manager – La Vie en Rose

La Vie en Rose is currently recruiting to hire a Store Manager.

ROLE : Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, the store manager is ultimately responsible for achieving the company standards in customer service, sales goals, control of store expenses, effective visual presentation techniques as well as ensuring the highest level of employee performance through the effective hiring of a highly motivated staff. The manager will also provide guidance, training, development and evaluations to all members of the team on a regular basis.



  • Maximise the bottom line profit margin of the store
  • Achieve or exceed the sales objective and plan: communicate down the information necessary to achieve plan
  • Analyse sales results and develop action-plans to improve results
  • Promote the promotions and contests
  • Manage your payroll expenses with effective scheduling
  • Achieve company standards in all areas of security and loss prevention in order to meet or exceed shrinkage targets. Develop action-plans to improve shrinkage results
  • Ensure that Regional Sales Manager and Head Office are notified of any security concerns

Human Resources

  • Build an aggressive winning team: prepare strong potential managers; identify personnel who are winners and can be promoted within the company
  • Recruit, select, perform reference checks and hire the best employees; be proactive
  • Welcome the new employees
  • Train and develop the employees by following the training outline, give feedback, coach them, pursue their development
  • Motivate the team; create a positive environment which fosters pride, self motivation and excellence
  • Take disciplinary steps when necessary including termination within the guideline of the law
  • Evaluate after 6 weeks and after 3 months the new employees, send evaluation forms to head office
  • Evaluate annually the performance of all employees and suggest salary revision accordingly to the results of the evaluation and send to head office
  • Plan effective schedules and distribute them as soon as possible, also control absenteeism
  • Handle work related conflicts
  • Act as a role model in every situation


  • Create excitement through effective merchandising techniques; effectively arrange the store’s merchandise to be attractive and functional
  • Know the merchandise
  • Maintain and analyse sufficient inventory levels
  • Effectively manage surplus inventory in backroom. Ensure all products and sizes are presented for the customer on the sales floor
  • Provide feedback to Regional Sales Manager and buying team on stock needs, stock levels and special events to further maximise sales inventory turnover
  • Provide feedback to Regional Sales Manager and buying team on merchandise styling and product assortment. See with the client’s eyes
  • Manage the receiving of stock in a timely fashion
  • Keep the store looking fresh by constantly revamping the merchandising
  • Maintain an organised backroom which is clean and easily accessible
  • Manage the store maintenance (ex. lighting, repairs…)


  • Be aware of the competition (direct, indirect and the other LVER stores)
  • Bring the clients in the boutique by promoting the LVER image and developing effective contacts to build the business
  • Share good ideas with other managers and Regional Sales Managers
  • Build a regular store clientele on reputation of superior service, know the clientele and market according to their needs
  • Identify customer types, needs, and requests
  • Participate and work with the mall administration


  • Fully understand and be able to perform all functions in the computer
  • Be able to analyse the business through the reports from the computer
  • Read, understand and use the existing manual
  • Proceed at the opening and the closing of the day
  • Do the daily paperwork
  • Send head office all the reports (daily, weekly and monthly)
  • Effectively manage all controllable expenses, with particular attention to wage control through effective scheduling and manpower planning
  • Be sure that the policies regarding lay away, refunds and exchanges are well comply with company policies
