Coats for Kids

In Manitoba, winters are harsh, and staying warm isn't just about comfort—it's a safety concern. Unfortunately, not all children in our community have the winter gear they need. That's where the Coats for Kids Program comes in, ensuring every child stays warm through the frigid months.

Be a part of this great initiative and visit Shoppers Mall from May 1 to June 30. Drop off your gently used winter coats, ski pants, toques and mittens in the bin located in Centre Court, scan the QR code and answer our trivia questions to enter the contest.

Did you know?

  • Coats for Kids has been providing warmth to children in our community for an impressive 26 years.
  • In the previous year alone, the program received 321 items, including coats and ski pants. Additionally, numerous donations of mitts, scarves, and hats poured in, enriching the lives of those in need.
  • Last year, 280 families benefited from Coats for Kids, with many households having more than one child receiving winter essentials.

As we look ahead to another winter in Manitoba, let's remember the importance of keeping our community's children warm and protected. Through initiatives like the Coats for Kids Program, we can ensure that no child has to face the cold unprotected.

Together, let's continue spreading warmth and kindness in our community, one coat at a time.
