Reitmans has recently introduced The Better Shop. The Better Shop is a line of clothing that Reitmans has created using less water, fewer chemicals, and more recycled fibres. The Responsible collection in the Better Shop is a first step in their journey towards creating more conscious fashion.

All Reitmans stores carry reuseable shopping bags that are in recycled polyester and 100% cotton.

Reitmans partners with Canada Post to employ their carbon neutral services for all of their online ordersThe packaging used for online orders are made of recycled post-consumer content and are recyclable. Reitmans also partners with Rebox for internal shipments which has led to a net reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of 2,400 tonnes and allowed them to save 7.8 million gallons of water in 2023.

Reitmans partnered with Tree Canada in 2024 to plant a total of 4,000 trees in Canada.
